As we climbed higher out of the canyon, the ferns and brush were replaced with beargrass, and the forest seemed to open up all around us.

Just off the PCT near Wahtum Lake, we scrambled to the top of Chinidere Mountain and were rewarded with awesome views of Hood, Jefferson, Adams, St. Helens, and Rainier.
